Leandro Paredes is a 24 year old Argentine midfielder. He is destined to sign for Chelsea with Monaco announcing the arrival of veteran midfielder Cesc Fabregas from the Blues. Paredes will play as a backup to Jorginho in the regista role in Maurizio Sarri's 433 formation.  The Argentine is a hard tackler and despite being only 5'10 in height , has won 13 aerial duels this season. He is not shy of sticking a foot in. He is known mainly for his aggression, something this Chelsea team has been lacking since the departure of Diego Costa. He is physically imposing and provides much needed teeth to our midfield. He is a masterful passer and is also good at taking set-pieces, something our team has been struggling with this season. More importantly, Paredes has an eye for goals and assists, something that is lacking in this Chelsea team this season. He had 6 goals and 11 assists last season and has 4 goals and 4 assists so far this season. He is a clean striker of the ball and favours long-shots when given the opportunity. He is also a very good technical dribbler. So in conclusion, Paredes is the perfect replacement for Fabregas, but much more, with his tackles, dribbles, aggression and goal contributions.
